Posted September 16, 200321 yr comment_49970 I am looking for an inexpensive option or used. Motorsports has one for about $300 which I think is 7 quart. Any other options? Anyone willing to part with a used one?Thx, Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7942-7-10-quart-comprace-oil-pan/ Share on other sites
September 16, 200321 yr comment_49974 Long ago when I was a poor boy we used to cut the bottom off of one Chevy SB pan and weld it on to the cut off bottom (after some pounding with a hammer to custom fit) of another to get more volume. Not pretty but it worked and we got the pans for free. September 17, 200321 yr comment_50027 Hey Doc,Are you using and Accusump for back up oil pressure and volume ?? Unless you are good at welding and fabrication you are almost stuck paying the big bucks for a competition pan. I think $300 is the cheapest I have seen a new one so far. Hopefully a used one comes your way. What size tires and wheels are your running on your car ??MikeZdriver.com Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7942-7-10-quart-comprace-oil-pan/#findComment-50027 Share on other sites

September 18, 200321 yr comment_50098 My question is do you really need that much? With an oil cooler and the associated plumbing you will be in the neighborhood of 6+ quarts. All you really need are a sump and possibly a windage tray. Phred might know how to do this or have plans on how to make one out of simple sheet metal. September 18, 200321 yr Author comment_50102 Insurance for a motor which costs more than I could buy a restored 240Z for. I will have an oil cooler too.
