Posted September 17, 200321 yr comment_50022 I bought this, thinking about installing it for different, yet still "Datsun" steering wheel for my 240Z... anybody know what car its from? And how to remove the horn button so I can try mounting it in my car?http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=6882 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7950-what-datsun-steering-wheel-is-this/ Share on other sites
September 19, 200321 yr comment_50254 I'm guessing its from a roadster, but i have never owned one, so its just a guess:ermm: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7950-what-datsun-steering-wheel-is-this/#findComment-50254 Share on other sites
September 19, 200321 yr Author comment_50261 Well thanks for the guess :-) Whatever it is, it doesn't fit in a Z: the Z's spindle is too big. Too bad, 'cause it would've looked cool IMHO Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7950-what-datsun-steering-wheel-is-this/#findComment-50261 Share on other sites
September 19, 200321 yr comment_50264 Not a roadster, my guess would b e aftermarket. The roadster has the same spindle/spline spec as the Z. I just had a 70 SPL 1600 come over for a SU tune-up with a 75 280 wheel. it fit mechanically, but stuck out like a sore thumb aesthetically. Too much dish. I could bearly get into the drivers seat. September 19, 200321 yr Author comment_50265 Hmmm well its got that big D for Datsun on it... maybe its from a 510 or *gasp* Bluebird? :-) Whatever it is, if the guy I bought it from doesn't take it back, I'll just put it back on E-bay :-) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7950-what-datsun-steering-wheel-is-this/#findComment-50265 Share on other sites
September 19, 200321 yr comment_50292 Looks like the one that was in my 76 B210, but with polished spokes. Maybe out of a 200SX around that same year? September 19, 200321 yr Author comment_50305 *could* be out of a B210, maybe the spokes were painted silver. If they were, somebody did a really nice job of it :-) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7950-what-datsun-steering-wheel-is-this/#findComment-50305 Share on other sites

November 18, 200321 yr Author comment_57514 510 sounds about right... If I wasn't so lazy, it'd be back on e-bay by now :-\ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/7950-what-datsun-steering-wheel-is-this/#findComment-57514 Share on other sites
