I would like to take the big rubber bumper gaurds off my early 260 and not have gaurds at all but I don't like the look of the holes on the top. So I would like to put the 240z bumper guards on in place of the ones I have now. Would this work without modification to the guards? Has anyone done this swap before?

I will answer my own question. I don't think it is possible unless I removed the shocks in the front, but this would be incredibly stupid because that is what is holding the bumper on! Darn, I really wanted to do this swap. It would be better just to get 240 bumpers. It's not that important. The stock bumpers still look good.
