Preparing to "hang" the Motorsport front air dam on my 77. This is the type that replaces the gawd-awful front bumber(Motorsport part 50-1409). Stiff, non plyable fiberglass.

Question for those w/ experience with this particular airdam: There is a significant gap where the air dam mates up to the front fender, just under the amber turn indicator. What is the best way to "fill" this void?

I've thought about gluing some flat plastic to the underside of the airdam, then filling with something (fiberglass, bondo, etc), then filing/sanding/buffing to shape. However, I'm afraid that whatever I do, it will develop cracks with age. Ideas/experience?

Mike, did you ever complete the job fitting the airdam to your car?

Is it a bolt on type of job or did you have to make modifications?

I am considering buying the same type 2 airdam for my late 74.
