January 29, 200223 yr comment_2528 You really need to do a leakdown test to find out exactly what it is, it could be rings, valve seals, guides, actually it could be a lot of things or a combination of more than one. It could be the chokes are stuck too. It would be really hard to say without getting under the hood. If you could get your hands on the car for a couple hours and take it to a shop to do a compression check, a leakdown test and just a good looking over I believe the answer will be obvious, but it's kinda hard to say with only second hand info from the owner. January 29, 200223 yr Author comment_2540 Yep, that's what I'm gonna do as soon as the snow disappear... A good mechanical inspection is a must, nut the owner is kind of nervous, because he did not want to change his price on the car... 7500$US, is what he wants... I agree on this price, and gavve a 750$ deposit, but my final move will be after the inspection.... and I think he does not like that.. Damn, I should have wait, but I do want so much this car... I don,t want to look like a fool, cos a lot of guys from the ZOOM Club in Montreal told me that I was paying to much for this car..... The seller has another 240Z stripp do the metal but with a new paint, and he needs $$$ to finish that project.... 75F you we're saying... Dman, need to leave canada definitely and move south....!!!
