I have a 1979 280zx Fairlady Z HGS130-000713.

I pressume its a R200 but what gearing ? and whats the differnce between them ?

For the HGS130,

Manual transmission = 3.7:1

Automatic transmission = 3.545:1

You won't find another book that covers ALL market models so comprehensively, and his understanding of the Japanese domestic market models is particularly good - which is going to help you in your particular situation.

The other book I would recommend to you is the Factory Service Manual for the S130 models. This will not be cheap - but it will SAVE you money in the long run.

Buying books is an INVESTMENT. "Books and tools, books and tools, books and tools". Should be a mantra for all of us.

though you could buy a haynes manual for a cheap price, you cant get all the detailed information and circuit tests schematics and the like that you can from the FSM

its a must have for any Z man or woman

Yeah i should invest in a book the guy who sold it too me said he had a manual but when i went to pick it up. He was like what ??? what book ??
