tires for snowflake wheels?

I have a 78 2+2 with 15" snowflakes. Are these 6 or 6.5 inches wide? I've seen conflicting info.

What would be the widest tires I could use? It had 205/65's on it when I bought it. Would 60 or even 55 series work well?
