I don't know about the size of the Quickor company, but they are currently not as big in the Z scene as they once were, which could explain the lack of product knowledge.

The 7/8" rear bar that I have is not from Quickor, I got it from Mulholland (a company that is no longer in business) so I can't help on this front either.

I'm sure there would be SOME difference in performance between a 7/8" and a 3/4" (6/8") rear bar, but I wouldn't expect it to be a huge difference. Probably only noticable to a VERY good driver.

Ground Control (www.ground-control.com) lists a 3/4" rear bar and a 1" bar for $259 for the PAIR. (Also shows a picture of the rear bar kit that shows the bracket I mentioned to you earlier. Maybe you could email the picture to Quickor and they could tell you if that is what their kit looks like.)

Eibach (www.eibach.com) seems to list a 1" front and 1" rear bar package, but shows no price or picture. P/N is 6305.140

Hope your new suspension setup works well for you texasz.

Should you have a problem with front end bounce and skip, particularly over undulating going or in sharp turns, you may want to look at running a lighter front sway bar. I drove a car fitted with a 27mm front bar recently which exhibited the above characteristics, it was cured by going down to a stock 22mm bar and using stiffer springs with good (Koni Sports) shocks.

There are enormous loads transmitted to the front suspension when using a big bar, even a 22mm bar exerts 268 inch/pounds, more than the springs a lot of people use.

So, if you drive hard and have a similar problem to the above ........... Unfortunately, changing springs around and getting new shocks can be time consuming and expensive, tell me about it.

Ok, I'm back and trying to determine the manufacturer of the sway bars in this pic. I found these for sale and the owner does not know anything about them. I'm trying to avoid drilling the chassis to install a rear sway bar, that's why I am asking. I'm also curious which one is the front and which is the rear?

Finding the right sway bars should not be this hard! :stupid: :cross-eye

The one at the top of the picture appears to be the front one. That one at the bottom looks like the kind that will require drilling the chassis to me.

You're right, it shouldn't. But I guess it depends on your definition of "right". What is your definition?

    Since your first post, I have done a bit of searching myself to see what is out there, and selection is much more limited than it was last time I was looking (about 15 yrs ago). You may have to compromise.

    Size I'm looking for is a 1" front and 3/4 or 7/8" rear.
    Brand does not matter.
    Style of bar is the one that requires no drilling of the chassis to install the rear one.

See my posted reply on page 1 of this thread.

Ground Control has what you are looking for and it costs $259 for the pair according to their website: 1" front & 3/4" rear. Picture in previous post. My understanding is that Suspension Techniques also offers the type of Rear bar that you are looking for.

Both companies have very good reputations IMHO.

The pair in the last pic I have attached above is available to me for $100 so if they are the ST or Ground Control brand I will get them. The problem is that the seller does not know nor has he ever installed them so he does not know how they attach either.

They do not look anything like the Ground Control set pictured on Pg 1 of the thread.

I don't think they are the S.T. brand either. Shape doesn't look right to me.

Perhaps Victor Laury can confirm (since he has one on his car), but the shape of the Rear bar in your picture looks similar to what I remember the MSA bar looking like. Also, no mounting brackets are shown, so even if it WAS the right style bar, you'd be then searching (and paying more $$) for the rest of the hardware needed to install it on your car.

If you are going to want to buy a used set of bars, I'd pass on these and wait until you find a seller who can show you a picture of a complete set-up that confirms that what you will be getting is what what you want to have.

I believe that I will be passing on these Bambi, I was already leaning that way since he could not confirm anything about the brand or style.

Yes, patience is what got me the car I have for the great price I paid. I will just keep looking and if I do not find the right pair by the time I have other things done and am ready to start autoxing then I will have to pay out for the new set.

Thank you and everyone for helping out. I may (most likely) be asking more about sway bars along the way.
