Posted October 18, 200321 yr comment_53548 Hey guys, This is my first post so let me introduce myself, my names Jonny Wilkinson(yes the same as the rugby guy) I'm 16yrs old and I am the owner of a '71 240 that I am planning on restoring/doing up. The cars in reasonable condition and almost original condition minus a half roll cage and some other small things, but theres some parts of the body that leave a little to be desire IMHO. I'm looking for the advice from Aussie Zed owners. Where and who in oz sells body panels for 240's?With thanksJonny Wilkinson Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/8434-aussie-owners-panels/ Share on other sites
October 18, 200321 yr comment_53563 The whole front end of a 260z 2+2 will fit on a 240z. The only difference being the pannels have indicator holes in the guards and 240z dont (unless you live in america, which i think do have indicaters). The advantage is 260z 2+2 are really cheap to buy. As for nes pannels? dont know. maybe nissan still sells them. Some rust repair sections are available from rare spares. One of the guards on the 260z I bough for parts looks to be non nissan replacement pannel. It has "SYT made in taiwan" stamped into it. October 19, 200321 yr comment_53643 Welcome to the world of Zed. You are in very small group of yonger drivers whom have seen the light and purchased an early series Zed.Most front panels are available, however parts of the "rear end" of the Zed's are not...only a few rust prone areas like rear deck lid. I live in NZ and I don't know of any Aus suppliers that can help. This site has many Aus Zed owners so I'm sure that they can help you.I do know that a company in the US called Victoria British may have what you need. You'll find them at www.victoriabritish.com The site it not all that but order a free catalog and you will see that they do have lower rear quarter panels and inner rear wheel arch panels to.Good luck and try to stop smiling when your in 3rd at 3500 RPM...go-on...just try.
