zztom Posted October 19, 2003 Share #1 Posted October 19, 2003 Just back from New Hampshire Convention and it was awsome. The cars there were the best Z's I've seen in a while. I had a small carb problem the whole week and didnt get my share of pics. I was too busy trying to get the car to "sing" like the others that were there. I want to thank Ken for getting my pic in the Show gallery. The only pic that represents my showing is when Mr. K stopped by my car and blessed it. 2ManyZs Posted October 19, 2003 Share #2 Posted October 19, 2003 Grrrr... I only wish I could have been there, even without a car.... Ok, I'm just jealous..... Car looks good from that angle. Looks like you did some serious polishing and cleaning like someone else I know. Hmm, no smilie for "oh god, my hands are soooo tired"....
zztom Posted October 19, 2003 Author Share #3 Posted October 19, 2003 Thanks, but after all that rubbin' I had a lot more to do to keep up with the guys in my class. This was my first show in street modified and I felt like I was still in kindergarten. I still need to do more, but it is all in fun. I just love to get ideas and motivation from other guys rides. Ken Posted October 20, 2003 Share #4 Posted October 20, 2003 ZZTOM....Outstanding job you have done on your car!! I was really impressed with all the work you have done within the engine compartment. Being in Street Modified class for some time now, I have noticed a great improvement in cars thruout this class in general. Every year the bar is raised. Glad to hear you enjoyed the convention. We sure worked hard to try and ensure that everyone had a good time and that no question went unanswered.I have posted a link to the convention photo's rather than try to post over 250 individual photo's via my slow modom.I really wanted to show 2Many what he missed. He could of even had a ride around the road course with Steve Millen. Had a nice chat with him, got his autograph, in his book and some nice photo's. Shot over 200 pictures of the convention. Already the snow is gathering on White Face Mtn at Lake Placid, NY. I don't want to put away SilverBullet yet. Did a 200 mile run to White River Junction Vermont on Saturday to clear out the cobwebs. She is really fast!!Ken
2ManyZs Posted October 20, 2003 Share #5 Posted October 20, 2003 Believe me Ken, I thought about what I was missing every day of the Convention. I've already met Steve Millen a long time ago at Summit Point, but I sure didn't get to ride around on the track with him that weekend...those 300ZX TT IMSA cars didn't have a passengers seat.. My biggest regret is missing another chance to meet Mr. K:tapemouth and some of our other members I didn't get a chance to meet at Syracuse.
