October 21, 200321 yr comment_53964 Actually...Koni is no selling their strut inserts as being for 70-78 vehicles. All with the same part number...so yes struts for a 240 will fit into a 260 2+2....as for springs...you definitely need to be aplication specific because of the increased weight of a 260 2+2 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/8479-will-240z-strutsand-or-springs-go-into-a-260z-22/#findComment-53964 Share on other sites
October 21, 200321 yr comment_53969 Hmm, 280 strut housings are 5mm larger diameter and a bit longer than a 240, wonder if Koni is "making" them fit like Zvoiture's Tokiko's? As far as the 2+2 springs are concerned, you would have to cut them as they are stiffer and longer than the 240 springs and will give your car the 4x4 look, I know, I tried it many years ago trying to spend as little money as possible. I never bothered to cut the ones I had to get the car back to where it should have been, I just yanked them off and bought proper lowering springs. October 21, 200321 yr comment_53976 2Many....you are corect the 280 housings are larger diameter....as for the extra length of the housing.....it is negligable when using aftermarket supplied gland nut...the extra slack is taken up with the gland nut.
