never use Duplicolor

Hey i have just used duplicolor vinyl and fabric dye, and i used it one my perfect dash and door skins, and it has cracked my dash in 6 or 7 places, it was perfect now its ruined, i used flat black on my red dash, and its ruined, any ideas, can you repair vinyl, or do i have to get it revinyld now, any helps, please im desperate, anybody else had problesm with it?

Sorry to hear about your problem, especially if you had an un-cracked dash.

The news that you don't want to hear is that there is no solution to your problem except to have the dash re-covered.

Might not be the Duplicolor. Might just be the fact that the dash is now black. The darker the color the more heat is drawn to the vinyl. It might also be that the prep work on the dash caused it to dry out. Either way, hate to hear that another dash is all busted up.

yeah the black attracting more heat kinda makes sense, part from the fact i only painted it 5 days ago, grrr, i live in nz so any idea who can recover dashes here?

Sorry about the bad result.

The club sponsor mentioned is "Dashboard Restorations" located in Australia. Several of our US members just arranged a bulk shipment of their dash "skins" to them for service.
