November 5, 200321 yr comment_55900 The 65mm TB assy swap was tried but it couldn't work right.....The voltage coming from the Datsun ECU is way different than that put out by the Ford....due to different parameters the different systems have....the air requirements were also way different....The only way it can work right is if you perform a 5.0 or 5.8 liter ford engine swap along with the MAF setup.I would definitely look at the 64mm TB swap as your L series engine can only take advantage of the added airflow at higher rpms anyway....This TB swap provides much more air than the L series N/A motor would ever use (street engine wise) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/8540-65mm-throttle-body/#findComment-55900 Share on other sites

November 5, 200321 yr comment_55950 I would say that your prolly thinking of the 65mm Ford XF Falcon. Don't know what sort of modifications would need to be done, but it's do-able.So I would say you'll need to hunt for it here, in OZ.Good luck.Have a look at http://www.240z.id.au/He's used it. November 5, 200321 yr comment_55981 I think I would go look at what the Mustangs are using, or the big trucks. Any other vehicle wouldn't have something that big for emmissions reasons.I bet there are some forums for the mustangs around... November 6, 200321 yr comment_56070 I doubt the I.D. of a TB assy has anything to do with the emissions, as long as the TB assembly has all of the vacuum lines used by the stock vehicle and something equivalent to the BCDD device located under the stock TB, you should be fine...at least in CA, where the visual inspection would definitely get you to fail the test.
