November 8, 200321 yr comment_56289 Hello and welcome prince_skyline.There is a guy here in WA that has 2 of the Prince Skylines. One is a parts/spare car (very complete only missing bumpers) the other is a very nicely restored white one.He also has many spares (mechanical etc.) I will try and track him down as it was about 3 yrs ago that I was speaking to him and saw his cars. November 8, 200321 yr Author comment_56292 Thanks Cuong, that would be great - the more contacts for these cars can only be beneficial in the preservation of such cars.Whilst on the subject of tracking things down - does anyone know of anyone or anywhere where literature can be obtained for the Prince range of vehicles - anything at all - manuals, sales brochures etc.Maybe Alan might know of someone/somewhere - you obviously have a few contacts in Japan. (Alan, i have only been a member of this site for a short time - but must commend you on your wealth of knowledge on the Datsun/Nissan/Prince topics - i have read many of your postings - and can only say keep up the brilliant work. I'm sure every member appreciates all the input you have given). Here is a pic. of the old man's Prince with the Turbocharged L20 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/8761-prince-skyline-fans/?&page=2#findComment-56292 Share on other sites
November 8, 200321 yr comment_56349 First of all, I'd like to say Welcome, it's always nice to meet or come into contact with other early Skyline enthusiasts. Second of all, I must commend you on your vehicles, the S54 is a fantastic looking car and I would love to own one my KHGC110 will do for the time being though. Thirdly, your picture of 'another car.jpg' I couldn't help but notice the New Zealand licence plates, you don't happen to know whether that person still lives in NZ and if so, have their contact details at all? I look forward to reading your (hopefully) many posts about the wonderful Prince cars. Victorian based or at least it was if it's still in existance?Last contact I had was Noel Sinclair [going from memory].The register was affiliated with the NDSOC. Contact Alan Fides the moderator of OZ regional discussions for more help. November 10, 200321 yr Author comment_56477 Thanks Zed,Already a member of the Prince Register - My father and I are very good friends with Noel actually. One of the attachments (pics.) i posted is actually Noels car - the original factory race car - one heck of a nice car. The Register is open to all Prince owners and we meet 2nd Friday of each month at a location that is decided month by month - usually Noel's place or another members place. I am still looking for any other sources of parts or literature from anyone out there - any help would be much appreciated.Again thanks anyway, Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/8761-prince-skyline-fans/?&page=2#findComment-56477 Share on other sites
April 6, 200519 yr comment_119620 Anyone know what these are worth in Australia now?I might have stumbled across one.....quick response appreciated as I might buy it!! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/8761-prince-skyline-fans/?&page=2#findComment-119620 Share on other sites
April 6, 200519 yr comment_119631 It's worth what someone will pay for it . Seriously it could be very hard to guage a value for such a car since they are rarely sold. It would also depend on if it was a running example or restoration job. I have read about owners having great trouble finding parts for these cars. Head gaskets have to be made up from scratch same with radiator hoses etc.. It's a big job Gee are you up for it? I read all this having been a NDSOC member myself and reading an article in their monthly mags. Umm i wasn't able to see the pictures is it just me or are they gone now? I tried to take some photos of one at the Datsun/Nissan Nationals here in Australia. April 8, 200519 yr comment_119821 i've seen the car, but I've decided not to buy it. If anyone wants a Prince skyline with a turbo RB motor in it, PM me and I'll put you in touch with the guy. I think you are right about parts availability though. These cars make z spares look damn easy to get, even the chrome rimmed headlight covers!! April 8, 200519 yr comment_119824 Most likely the reason for the RB motor conversion. You just can't get engine parts easily for it. In all honestly Z parts are easy to come by since there are so many places on the internet that you can buy new parts from. It's just the expense of it all if us Aussies lived in the US it would be very easy to fix up a Z and a hell of a lot cheaper. However i think resale value would be considerably less too .
