Posted November 8, 200321 yr comment_56295 I'm going to be repatching my front fesca. It has a crack right down the middle. I baught some fiberglass bondo and a sheet of fiberglass. Has anyone done this before? Need a little advice. November 8, 200321 yr comment_56314 to fix fiberglass you will need to glass both sides of the part. this will bond it the best. take your bumper off, and sand/grind the backside of the bumper about 4 inches on each side of the crack. do the same with the front side. make it real rough, leaving no smoothness. you want the glass to grip. make sure to use planty of resin so that the crack will be filled up. fiberglass the back of the fascia the entire length of the crack, at least 3 inches on each side of the crack. do the same for the front, but only do about 2 inches of glassing on the front. let it dry overnight, you will now sand/grind the front smooth. sand it with a block, maybe add some bondo. good luckjoel-fibercustoms Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/8769-repairing-a-fiberglass-front-fesca/#findComment-56314 Share on other sites More sharing options...
