Can i buy 240K tailights new?? does anyone have any used ones for sale?

Uhmm, if you want a set exactly the same as that, your best bet will probably be the Australian guys on the board (alfadog, jmt240kgtr), they have better and more access to such lights.

However, if you're after the GTR set, it is opposite to the picture ie. in picture inside circle has reverse lamp outer / brake lamp inner. You should talk to Chloe from MidwestZ, if you're really nice she may find out whether she can get some for you, she's helped me out lots and I'll be buying stuff through her the moment I can.

However, expect to pay a pretty penny for GTR ones.

JMT240KGTR probably has some GL tail lights (outer reverse light) spare he might sell you... if you want some GT-R ones (inner reverse light, see attached picture) I should be able to get you some but they'd be more expensive...

damn st8, i plan on importing one someday, them and i would also like an all orginal 240zg, those are like dream cars to me, put zg flairs and watanbes on the 240k....mmm mmm good

Hey Again,

Taking a leaf from Sleek Z's book, I thought I'd photoshop the 240K lights onto the Z, I'm not sure how the scale is, being I dont have a 240Z close to try and figure it out, however, if I happen across the local car dealer in his Z one day, I'll see if he wouldn't mind taking some side by side comparison pictures.

Anyway... If the scale is right, I think it looks great, having rear round lights will match the front round headlamps.

If the Z belongs to anyone here, sorry it was destroyed I pinched it from one of the threads SleekZ showed.

The bonus of using K lights is you'd be keeping with the same manufacturer and around the same era.

wow that looks great , now think of it with a carbon fiber rear panel and not being flat piece but "molded" around the lights...

And it looks GREAT (in my opinion). Still think the GT-R ones would look better though...........

OK OK, I can take a hint.

In this picture, I've transferred the whole rear panel across, it has been shortened (not as wide) to fit the back of the Z and had the angles taken off the edges (rounded like the outside lamp surrounds).

I left the GTR badge there cause ... it's a GTR bade for craps sake, it deserves to be there! :classic:
