Where do i get new suspension bushes in Australia fro my 240Z.

I want the synthetic ones not the stock rubber ones.

Sway bars. I got a 260z 2+2. My rear 240z sway bar is missing, so i was going to put the 260z bar on it. Anyone forsee any problems with this.

Should i use any of the other 260z parts on the 240?

Rare spares aka Restorers Hotline in Adelaide can get them and send them to you, you need to speak to andrew though if its about all things Z related. Noltec is the company they use I think, but not sure if the public can buy direct.

Mr C,

I use Noltec all the time & I've never had a problem with there stuff, I have there catalogue & prices handy & I'm sure the will post Aust wide.

They are in NSW & have a website (www.noltec.com.au) or ring 02 9980 9777.

As for trying to fit a 260Z station wagon rear sway bar on a 240Z, no chance, you'll have to go with an aftermarket type like K-mac or Whiteline.

P.S. Noltec dont make the D bushes dor the sway bars.

Nick.

Mr C,

go for it, I am in agreement with Nick I got all mine in Sydney a long time ago for all Sway bar, steering rack clamps

steering universal and all four Tockico chrome bump stop positions. No adverse affect.

To the rear sway bar if you are going to support a standard setup find a 260Z coupe rear bar not the (rancho wagon) type it is bent wrong and will not fit.

I Also HIGHLY recommend Andrew RESTORERS HOT LINE he will go the extra yard to get you what you want.

Cheers

Steve

Pedders will sell you Nolathane, Rare Spares Noltec, and any decent suspension shop wil sell you either or K-Mac (branded Nolathane?). You will get bushes with new sway bars. I found that the rear control arm bushes were harder to come by than all others. If you can't find what you want here, get some G-Machine bushes from MSA, Nismo, or VB.

Try Wilkinsons Suspension. They do most of the autoX cars here in Perth and plenty of zeds. They have all the bushes, sway bars etc and will either fit or sell seperately.

I talked to the Pedders guy in O'Connor and he didn't seem too interested, looked in his book and told me he could get a few bushes but that was it.

I am in the process of changing mine as we speak. I'm using Noltec and bought them from Warren Skimming at Top Gear (local). The subframe bushes were replaced about a year ago, also with urethane. They were bought from Fulcrum, but I can't remember the brand. No useful feed back for you though. :/

Prefer the factory suspension arm pivot bushes myself but use poly for things like sway bars and steering rack. After a fair bit of research and use I believe that the factory rubber bushes are superior in performance and durability to any poly suspension arm pivot bushes.

For track use I'd keep the factory suspension arm pivot bushes or else use a mechanical bush like rod ends. Which is what most do.
