Posted November 17, 200321 yr comment_57369 Picked up my car early last night... drove it from the Rockford IL. area to my place about 95 miles ... drove really well... needs some work .. some minor surface rust in a few places but nothing tooooo deadly and a few interior items need to be replaced.. I'll get some pics up beside the ones from the guy that had it listed online... ?? if anyone knows... were 5spds a option in 78 or standard equipment ? November 18, 200321 yr comment_57488 Hi Capt,Glad to hear it drove well on the way home. Sounds like you will have a fun project to improve over the next few years. As far as I know, 5spds were on option till they became standard on the 280ZX.They only thin I am not certain about is the Black Pearl model. It may have been standard on that. You can check out http://zhome.com/ They have info on a few special models and collectable Z's.Congrats on your purchase.Marty Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/8920-brought-my-newtome-78-home/#findComment-57488 Share on other sites
