Yes, certainly repairable. Cost, well depending on how much work you can do yourself, it may be considered "Totalled"

Parts are not Cheap unless you can get a Parts car to steal from, and Labor costs will kill you.

When "Bambi" leaped in front of me, I needed:

(all new parts)

Left Fender

Front Bumper & mount brackets

Headlight Assembly

LH Sugar Scoop

Grill

Hood

Straighten Radiator Support (very minor damage)

Paint

Cost for all work to be done by Body Shop = $4000.00

I agree with Smokey you do have to be careful with the vintage machines. It's not easy to find someone who can repair it properly I had mine reveresed into recently and a bonnet + paint is gonna cost me around $2000 at the end I'm guessing because I just haven't been happy with the initial $1000 I outlayed on it.

I'm gonna try get a friend to help me fix the old bonnet with a dolly and hammer and patience then get it painted by a friend who works at a body shop.

Anyway I'm a bit off topic but my point is that a friend asked me the other day why I haven't been driving my car, my reply cause it's classic have to look after it and his attitude is it's a car drive it, having said that he outlayed $30k AUD on a new Intergra Type R to have a couple weeks later an old lady hit the side .

I think if I were you I'd get another 1/4 panel welded in but you run the risk of someone not welding it in correctly.

If the bonnet is damaged it might be cheaper to find a straight one than it is to try fix that.

Maybe now you could go with 240z bumpers as oppose to finding 280z ones.

They look nicer but you might be going for originality.

I have attached a pic of the damage done to my Z similar to yours but mine was a write off and the chassis was bent bad.

front bumper ends on Ebay a couple days ago. You're gonna need at least one new one on the passemger side. Sorry to see/hear about your baby. It looks totally fixablre to me.

Just the other day my G.L.W. (Good lady wife, if I don't call her that she will hurt me) came home from the supermarket and told me tha she had bumped the wall with my zed.

Luckily I have a spare front bar and bonnet, the moral of this story is women are evil, don't trust them.....

i have a set of front & rear bumpers for a 78 280

the the rubber on the front bumper has a small chunk out of it & on the rear bumper, there are small tears on the rubber endcaps (1 on each cap)

if you're interested shoot me a pm. i'm building new bumpers for my 280 so i need to get rid of the old ones.

Full story.. I felt like typing it

Here's what happened...

On my way to a closed road... (new neighboorhood with no homes just a road) I saw my ex girlfriends Dad.. in his BMW M3... I turned quickly to avoid him and I waited a few minutes and then got onto my road. I guess He called her and said i was with a new girl. (we broke up 4 weeks ago)

She still loves me so she got mad.... and naturally very jealous

I was in the snow.. for a few hours goofing around in the snow for a while.... doughnuts... slides... drifts.. etc

Then on a straightaway... I look up and it looks like she is barreling at me sliding in the snow... headon...

I turn the wheel.... and I get my back end out and I was going well out of her way. Then her passenger side hit my car.... on my passenger side and we spun into each other and messed up our rear quarter panels...

she went off the road and almost hit a concrete slab for a constructing house.

I got out of my car.. and saw.. $^!#.. that is my Ex girlfriend...

I walked up to her to ask if she was ok..

and she said... "who's in your passenger seat?"

I said.. my GUY friend Ashton.... why?

She said leave me alone.. stay away...

and that's it... that's the story..

Did she do it on purpose? I believe she did....

(Dont forget this is a CLOSED ROAD... no traffic...
