drivers side window is stuck. I took off door panel and see one of the window regulator arms is bent..I would like to replace the regulator assembly as they are fairly inexpensive from Victoria British. How difficult is it to R & R the regulator?

thanks for your help

Working inside the door can be a major problem if you have big hands:cross-eye

Worst part of it all is the sharp edges in the door cutouts. Be careful of the plastic clips holding some of the door striker arms and such together, they tend to get very brittle with age.

I did this on my last car and while it was fairly easy, it became a little frustrating.:tapemouth There are a couple of poiters I can share.

1- remove the window crank clip, crank, and doorpanel.

2- remove the belt molding -the outer molding that keeps water out of the door body.

3. place the crank back on the regulator.

Tip- lobe the heck out of the mechanism if it is stuck, and try to get it un-stuck. This will make your life hell.

4-loosen the bolts that secure regulator in place.

5- dismantle the outer window frame and rubber trim very carefully.

6- when the regulator is unstuck, you can remove the window AND the regulator arms through the far opening closest to the B pillar- i.e. quarter glass.

7- reassemble.

Good luck-

Dan
