December 5, 200321 yr comment_59536 Yeah, 180SX wheels have a significant positive offset and won't fit a Z. They have the same bolt pattern as the Z though (4 stud 114.3mm). I took a look at the Dept. of Transport W.A. website and found the information below. It seems WA, unlike other Aussie states, does not expressly prohibit the use of spacers. Alternative road wheels are permitted under the following conditions : (a) Rim width must not exceed the maximum rim width specified by the manufacturer by more than 25mm (1") (for passenger vehicles manufactured after 1st January 1973, the manufacturers rim width shall be taken as that specified on the tyre placard). In any event, rim width shall not exceed 177.8 mm (7") unless specified by the manufacturer as standard equipment for the vehicle in question. No increase in rim width is permitted for vehicles fitted with original equipment rims in excess of 177.8 mm (7") width. ( The wheel is contained completely within the body work of the vehicle which includes acceptable flares. © The wheel does not foul any part of the body or suspension under all conditions of travel (d) The vehicle handling is not impaired in any way. (e) The tyre to rim fitment must be in accordance with the Tyre and Rim Association Manual. (f) Rim diameters must be the same as specified by the manufacturer. (g) The wheel must be one designed for use with the vehicle with respect to bolt pitch circle and wheel nut tapers (h) The track must not be increased by more than 25mm (1") over the maximum specified by the manufacturer.etc. edited - positive offset on 180SX, not negative knucklehead. December 5, 200321 yr comment_59550 What about wheels that suit a S13 Silvia? I know a friend of mines brother had a TA22 Celica with Silvia Rims and they fit ok on his car. But he wasn't always doing things the way I would consider properly not that he was an idiot the car looked nice just not the kind of things I'd do.I would have thought the S13 and 180sx were not very different but. December 5, 200321 yr comment_59552 To put 7" wheels on a 180sx you need a positive offset of 45mm this gives you a back space of 147mm. To fit these to a Z with standard springs you would need a spacer a minimum of 32mm thick. I'm not sure about the S13 but I would have thought they would be fairly similar.Alan. December 6, 200321 yr comment_59606 The 180SX is an S13....Both the Silvia & 180SX use the same shell & drivetrain. The S14 is 5-stud & the S12 is our Gazelle. It seems that this will be the widest rim you could fit to the Z in W.A. if it was wider than 7 inches. December 7, 200321 yr comment_59709 Mr C, the ZG left the factory fitted with stock steel 240 rims and hubcaps (and to my knowledge guards uncut), best bet may be to find what width the factory option/works mags were and argue your point from there.
