Oh deary me, how amusing. Let's not get all patriotic and snarky now, "Americans are silly" IS a valid voting option in the poll afterall.

Hmm, I wonder if the murder rate goes up around thanksgiving, as a few people accidentally murder the wrong "turkey". Its clear to see which one is winning at this stage, which is interesting given the number or yanks normally about, they will have to do something to redeem themselves, unite as one and vote for the preferred meat. Stress less guys, its a fun poll, dont get too worked up about it.

The run up to Xmas starts early in the UK. Pretty much after Halloween or Guy Fawkes night (November 5th) you will see the shops decked out in Holly/fake snow etc with bloody Jingle bells on loop in the background.

Xmas in Oz/New Zealand (in the Summer!!!) would feel a bit strange for us from the Northern hemisphere experiencing it for the first time. Does Santa wear shorts and a T-shirt.:classic: Surely he would get heatstroke wearing that thick red and white coat in the Summer down there.

I'm sure he does too... luckily he has all that milk to keep him hydrated.

Maybe the rest of the world doesn't truly understand the meaning of Thanksgiving in the US. I personally use the time to give thanks to the fact I own a Z.

When he's in the northern, warmer climate he swaps his red outfit for shorts, blue singlet, thongs and wide brimmed hat, agists the reindeer on a cattle run and hitches up 6 old man kangaroos to the sliegh on which he installs a canopy to protect his bare skin from the sun.
