November 29, 200321 yr comment_58779 At first I thought I'd post a serious pic then I had a look through the collection of photo's I had and thought well nobody else has so I posted this 1. It was about 4:30 in the morning I had been up doing study for exams coming up and my friends 1 2 and 3 jimmy cans were on the table to help make study more fun hence the funny colored tongue and the wacked out look . I've also got another photo of me in the gallery i've had it there a while it's a bit more serious ;-). November 29, 200321 yr comment_58782 OK, my cover is now blown. And, yes the hat is worn for a reason. It's cold here and there isn't as much "insulation" on top as there used to be. My sister took this pic while I was adjusting valves today. November 29, 200321 yr Author comment_58789 Come on now Alan, no sidestepping by imitating a movie star. (I suppose you could have tried passing yourself off as a double for Clint Eastwood, Richard Gere or even Julia Roberts or Kylie Minogue). So, come on, CONFESS !!!!!!!!! I always wear a hat when I'm out in the hot Queensland sun mate. There's not a great deal up top to protect the old cranium. Rick. November 29, 200321 yr comment_58790 Kylie. Now there's a thought. A very nice thought. OK - here's a rare shot of me. Usually I avoid cameras, mirrors and bright sunlight: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/9098-all-right-you-lot-lets-have-you/?&page=3#findComment-58790 Share on other sites
November 29, 200321 yr comment_58791 Originally posted by Bambikiller240 Now, I could be wrong (again) but I *think* Alan was refering to Col. Walter E. Kurtz in the movie Apocalypse Now. The charector was played by Marlon Brando. Col Kurtz was responsible for many "Heads on Poles" discovered by the Riverboat crew taking Capt. Benjamin L. Willard (Martin Sheen) on his mission.Did I do better this time, Alan? Perfect this time Carl!Klink was funny, but I think Victor's mugshot has 'something of the night' about it - so its got to be Walter Kurtz. Very scary. Victor, I had a very different image of you in my head. Now I can't imagine you in a Fairlady Roadster! Lots of good quotes in that movie. Screenwriter was Michael Herr ( of "Dispatches" fame ) and it was loosely based on 'Heart Of Darkness" by Conrad. All very dark."Never get out of the boat!" And it is a joke by the way, I don't really plan on taking that path.
