Not much of a fan of Nascar anymore, unless they race on a road course that is...

I'm a fan of road racing that has more passing and competition... and the drivers don't make millions a year to do it.....in other words, SCCA and others....

Most of the FI races I've seen in the last few years put me to sleep almost as fast as a Nascar roundy-round....:sleepy:

If you get SpeedTV, watch the Aussie V8's on Wednesday nights in the winter. Great racing! Also, the Speed World Challenge GT's and Touring cars are good.

If you think it's tough to stay awake through an F1 race for you east Coast guys; try having to get up at 4:30AM Pacific time like go z racer, go (Jerry) and I to watch them. It takes dedication!

Bambi, I have one word for you........ TIVO

Reord the race and watch it when you get up, you can even skip the commercials, rewind and watch the wrecks, etc....

If I had SpeedTV, I wouldn't be on this darn computer so much.... except when they play those Nascar races and shows over, and over, and over......:disappoin

Howz the family? Yeah I lnow all about TIVO (just ordered one from DirecTV, but it's on back order ) I have a VCR, but really, there is nothing like watching a race LIVE, besides, until recently there were CART races and MotoGP, and occasional "Nap-car" races to watch later in the day. I used to have a friend who got up early too & we'd go to each other's house and watch the race, then go out to Breakfast, but his job required him to move about 70 miles away.

Any nibbles on the sale of your car ?

2ManyZs : Trust me, if you had SpeedTV, you'd learn like I have to Net Surf AND watch TV at the same time. :stupid:

Keep your eyes out for the penultimate round of the V8 supercars, it was a fine event (fine in more ways than one for a couple of drivers)

I went to an aussie V8 Supercar race last year. It was pretty awesome! The car racing was good too. :cheeky:
