This area is a lot of fun and allows us to virtually SEE who we are chatting with on the other side of the forum page. There are already quite a few mugshots uploaded, so, feel free to upload your own.

If you want to upload your own picture (which we all want you to do!!), simply open the gallery link above and look at the top right of the page... you should see a link called UPLOAD PHOTOS. Follow the instructions and you will be set!

Come on people; Put your USER NAME as the title of your picture. Eventually there will be pages, and pages, and pages, and pages of pictures in that gallery and if you don't use your user name as title it will be a royal bitch for anyone to find your picture without viewing every damn page in the gallery.

A bit organization would really be beneficial for this gallery to be useful to new members.

Yeah, but try to FIND a member. Sure you can figure out who is who once you view a picture, it's the FINDING that will be difficult if folk label their pictures with anything that comes to mind.

The only "sort" option that will help you to find someone is "Alphabetical" and it uses the TITLE.

Imagine a new member trying to find YOU, and you have (for example) posted your picture under the title of THE BOSS. Logically one would try to find a page with titles that begin with "M" (as in Mike). Doesn't that make sense?

Searching for MIKE on a page that has titles beginning with "T" (as in THE BOSS) would not be something that anyone would think to do. Sure they can look at every page and eventually they will bump into you, but isn't that a PITA? Especially if one wants to look up several people.

If you wanted to see what "kmack" looks like, would you look on a page that has titles like "2003 Wine Tour"?

Or "Zwolley", on a page with titles like "My Work Station"?

Or "jeff1216", on a page with titles like "Motorcycle trip to mountains"?

Or "1 Bravo 6", on a page with titles like "Typical Aus."?

If you are on a DSL line and pages load in 10 seconds, it may not be such an issue (until the number of pages rises more), but for the majority of folks who are on Dial-Up with page loads significantly longer it will be a pain.

(It won't affect me much, as I've already saved all the pictures from the thread to my hard-drive with User name and real name as title)

Or perhaps a title to the photo that STARTS with your username, which is what I did. Hope that works. :classic:

Not quite, Steve. Just because you posted to the first thread, doesn't mean we all don't expect you to post to the gallery.

Come on, don't be shy. You could post the same picture of choose something else, but whatever you do, don't masquerade as a Russian welder!
