Hit and Run

That pissed me off just reading your post, I can't imagine what it was like to be there. Hope you find the jerk and well... maybe you could just sideswipe him while he's coming out of his house in the morning? So he knows how it feels. Try and just hobble him a bit.

I can't believe the things people think they can get away with. A while back I pulled into a parking lot just as a caddilac was pulling out. Well, the caddy rammed into a red cavalier in the parking lot. The driver, and older woman, opened the door, looked at the cavalier, looked at me watching her, and then drove off.

She must have thought that I just wouldn't get involved or something. The hell I wouldn't! I wrote down the plate and told the kid working inside. It was his car.

Now I don't know what the old lady was thinking, but trying to get out of responsibility for damaging someones car, especially when it was clear that she didn't have a money problem, but the poor kid washing windows at petco did, well, I just don't know what people are thinking. That's what insurance is for, and people in Iowa are required to have it.

Anyway, the plate matched our discription, and the old lady must have taken car of the kids car, so my story had a happy ending, I hope yours does too!

Oh Man!! I feel for you. That sooo pisses me off. Even more so that cops will not do any thing about it. Thats how it is here. A-holes on the road are never seen and cause such grief...but dont you dare go 5 mph over the speed limit especially in a speed trap!! Unfortunately there is no money in it for the cops to respond to your problem. Maybe you should have offered them money! Sorry if I offend anyone...but cops are not exactly on my list of high respect when it comes to situations like this. I have had the same thing happen to me more than once.

Peace

I agree with ROOPZ 100% on that one. Makes you wish you had an old, rusty POS 1973 Ford LTD out back that you could jump into and find that jabrone and just ram the crap out of his 'rover. No damage (not that you'd care) to the LTD, but his prissy Land Rover would be toast. :devious:

Alan,

Sorry to hear of your bad luck. It must be in the air this week as my friend had two of his cars broken into. To make matters worse he lives in off-base military housing!

Both his '00 Mustang GT and his '76 280Z were vandalized by some idiot thugs. The Mustang is the worse off as they had punched a hole in the sheetmetal just under the door lock. It's a shame because the Mustang up unitl now had flawless black paint and barely more than 20,000 miles. The Z fared better as only the lock cylinders were damaged. Once inside the idtios found nothing to their liking and just tossed the interior.

Hopefully as things happen they will get what's coming to them in the end much like the arse that damaged your Alfa.
