Steve,

Are these for the race car in the build? Or, did you just want to surprise me with a gift? They do look awesome!!! However, I think I will stick with my Rebello SU's......simple, payed for, and easier to tune. Of course I might change my mind if they can produce wine.

P.S. Come on Steve, did you special order those purple anodized throttle arms because they remind you of grapes???

P.S.S. Seriuosly, how is the race car coming along?

It's coming...It's coming! The carbs are on the new motor now....along with the header and the externally adjustable Comp oil pump and new starter and new alternator and also the tranny and the new Comp LSD and the frame rails are gussetted and the radiator is in and brakes are in with new R4's and bled full of 4, and floor areas are cut out and metal is sitting here ready to be welded in and door guts are out and new ATL is in (haven't built firewall yet) suspension and bushings have been done for some time, and sitting here on the shelf are a Holley Blue, two HPG-1's, all my switches and guages and warning lights and my new 6AL and my Jones tach and my Sparco seat and my roll cage and my 5" Supertrapp and my Unilite and my ITG and...oh, I think that's all. I like to shop a bit ahead of myself! Motor is pretty mild, about 10.5:1 and a 270/460, fully ported head, oversize valves and springs, .40 over, new flattops, all balanced, lightened flywheel. metal shop called today and the sheet of AL for my dash has been broke (breaked). Need to get the cage in and finish welding on the interior so I can wire this puppy. Then Vroom Vroom.

Until then, just been thrashing my street car down at Willow Springs. Something GOTTA let go on that poor thing soon. I can't even remember how many times I visited 7000 on that thing this past weekend.

I'm seriously considering a triple setup to replace the marginal stock carbs on my 260. My biggest question is, what do I do for the vacuum taps used for the brake master cylinder and the distributor's vacuum-advance mechanism. I'm looking at a setup with a TWM manifold. Does anyone know the best way to handle this - or would that manifold probably provide the required vacuum tap(s)? Thanks. -Gregg

Hey Steve,

Have you put these on yet? Would like to know your thoughts as far as performance goes if you have put them on yet. I am going to put a set on my 260 (see my gallery) if I can get some feedback performance wise.

Thanks,

Paul
