I have a MSA 6-1 sitting here in the box for my 73 project, but things have 'shifted' a bit and I really wanted a 6-2 to trade for the 6-1 or sell or install on the 73 and the 6-2 go on the NEW race car project (yes that would be TWO) because the 73 is registered and the _______ is NO WAY and I kinda wanted to put true twice pipes on the street-un-legal one and anyway...I'm rambling now....you get it........ Funny how things work out.

Are those ceramic coated header's from MSA guaranteed not to rust? And what is the benifit of a 6-2 vs a 6-1?

Square header , Round gasket. I brought that up just so you would not start the job and go"well damn' Great Bargain! It'll be sweet!

I thought the 280z had round ports.

Only the 77-78 280's with the N47 head had round ports, as did the F54 engines with the P79. I believe all the rest had square ports, at least the ones we had in the US...

To answer Ed's question, the 6-1 have the closest to the same length tubes, which is the most desirable for better and equal scavenging of all cylinders...

Tubing length and diameter is how header manufacturers and engine builders get the best power at certain RPM ranges, the length and diameter change how well the engine can "breathe". Usually done on an engine dyno, as each head will flow differently due to all the variables involved such as valve size, port design etc.. etc.. etc..

Yes, there was some iffy/vague advertising involved in the EBAY ad, but some of us could read through it and get what we wanted. Sometimes you gotta just look past the adjectives. It could easily have been purchased for a 75-76 and then everything is straight-on. I'm guessing the "fuel injected" part is what kept 5000 240 guys who saw it from snapping it up!
