Nah its not. Well not on Australian spec early fords, cortinas escorts etc. They have 4x110 I think while the Z is 4x114.3, its ever so close, but not really close enough. I once got a datsun rim on a cortina, but only to move it round the yard, and its not coming off anytime soom.

Cheers Chris

Hi, this is my first time trying this forum out. Yes, some four lug Fords are the same bolt/lug pattern as the Datsun 240Z - 280ZX, check this site out http://www.alliedracingwheels.com/patternref.html it is one of many such charts I've found by searching google, and shows there are many options, even wheels from old Chevy Corvairs, MGs, SAABs, Triumphs, etc. You've got to scroll down a ways for the big list.:D My Panasport wheels were on a TR6, but fit my 240Z fine. Still looking for original Panasport Center Caps, 1,2,3 or 4. Hope this helps. ROFL

Ok then, you must have got some different fords to what we had over here. Because here a cortina/escort/capri wheel is interchangable, and they will not fit on a Z, or any datsun for that matter. Just check fit, because the difference between 110, and 114.3 may not be found by the average backyarder with a tape measure.

The American Ford Falcons, Mustangs w/4 bolt, Mercury Comets, etc. from the 60's do have the same bolt pattern as the Z, 510, Roadster, etc. I let a friend borrow the spare from my 1600 Roadster a few years ago to put on his 65 Ford Falcon. It fit with no problem. He never did return it!

sweet! that should make life alot easier when i start looking for some new wheels.

BTW, anybody have opinions? i'm going flared so i'm thinking a 17"x7" or 17"x8" with a 245/40-17. i'll probably go with something like a centerline or weld wheel but haven't decided on style yet.

clutchdust,

I have just such a link :

http://www.mrt-wheels.com/boltpatternref.html

and if you are really adventurous:

http://www.wheeladapter.com/

The above link can help you make anything happen!

If you fancy a five lug conversion you can begin to use wheels that have been made for late model Mustangs, etc.. (bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5" or 5 on 114.3mm, just like the '84 on up Z31's w/ 5 lug hubs).

For an S30 or S130 a set of 16" wheels would probably be more than enough. Especially if you get a set of 16x7" zero offset/ zero backspacing for the fronts and 16x8" for the rears. The wheels in the attachment are like what I would use:
