Carb Overflow

I have 3 screw su's with k&n filters so I don't have a spot to run my overflow hoses from my float chambers, I was thinking of runing them to a t and then running them to the fuel tank flow guide valve which has an open line where it went to the air filter to burn off the extra vapors, getting alot of gas smell in the garage since I got it running , any thoughts?

I agree the overflows need to go somewhere to get them away from draining on top of the exhaust. When they do drain ,which is only when something is wrong (mine once in my life)they just run the fuel to the aircleaner and it runs out the bottom. That is not your fuel smell. As I say the factory correct from what you have would be a length of hose to the air cleaner. That would not change the smell factor. You need to look somewhere else.

I also have the tank vapor valve that is suppose to also run to the air cleaner off, I ended up with unexpected extra lines when I remove the smog pump and stuff that was rotted and locked up , I honestly think the fumes are from the valve but not sure where to run it to , I love Chinos Ideal but was thinking I could do that with an extra tank down on the firewall side, chino do you have any issue with the gas eating the plastic?

Well it's not a daily driven car. When I do fire it up it is usually at the track and we are always under the hood checking on things and after a run we have it open to cool it off quicker. I have never seen or had gas overflow into it. If I did I would have had a carb problem, then pulled into the pits and delt with it. It mostly is there to catch the gas fumes, oil blow by smoke or vent what ever into it. It has some oily mess in the bottom of it about 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep, I never dump it, doesn't hurt the plastic, just keeps the drips, oily residue in the bottle and not the engine, headers, tires, track or where ever. I guess if the carbs did fill up to the overflow lines they probably wouldn't even run! I have had fuel running out of the carbs because the overflow line was plug or float levels where to high but never into the plastic container.
