mushupork5 Posted December 18, 2003 Share #1 Posted December 18, 2003 I need to get new weather stripping for my Z and I want to know the best options. There is that guy on ebay you sells the kit for $185, but that seems pretty cheap for good weather stripping. Anyone used that before or have a better way of going at it? Zrush Posted December 18, 2003 Share #2 Posted December 18, 2003 MSA sells the weather stripping kits. Don't skimp on this or you'll find yourself with leaks or ill fitting rubber. Been there, done that.
tanny Posted December 18, 2003 Share #3 Posted December 18, 2003 My doors(73 240z) still have to be slammed to shut them after putting in some door weatherstrip I bought from Victoria British. They seal, but what a pain. Zrush is absolutely right. Good luck, Victor.
zztom Posted December 18, 2003 Share #4 Posted December 18, 2003 I havent had any success with weatherstripping. I am on my third set and the doors still need to be slammed. The last set I bought was supposed to be the answer, put a set of 77-78 door seals on my 71, but that didnt work. With the weatherstripping off I can close the doors like a new car. My next move is J C Whitney seals. They look pretty generic but come in a range of thicknesses and shapes. Good luck with yours. :stupid:
