Zrush Posted December 23, 2003 Share #3 Posted December 23, 2003 The only Z produced by Datsun/Nissan as far as I know is the 240, 260 and 280. That car looks like a B210 with a Z emblem on it. Nice car but I think it's a fake, but you never know.:tapemouth
kyteler Posted December 23, 2003 Share #4 Posted December 23, 2003 Did the fact it has; Kemono - The Beast Also known as 120 Y or B 210 Staring you in the face when you load the page give that away? do you think? :stupid: Of course if you run a resolution lower than 1280x1024 it might not be there automatically and you may have had to scroll to read the above mentioned. It would seem like an awfully large length to goto to make something up, if you're still skeptical try the "others" link, I'm not denying it could be bollocks but it's pretty cool either way... and I thought decent C110 pictures were hard enough to get... screw trying to find those. Bambikiller240 Posted December 23, 2003 Share #5 Posted December 23, 2003 IF that car is a legitimate Nissan model, I don't believe it was ever offered in the US.
HS30-H Posted December 23, 2003 Share #6 Posted December 23, 2003 Maybe there was a 140Z, but I don't think it used the same classic 'Z' emblem as our cars. I think he's made his own version of the emblem. Reminds me of a story. My friend was looking for a 280ZX ( I know :cheeky: ) and he found a "ZX" in the local paper. We zoomed round to see it, only to find that it was a little white saloon with funny details. Turns out it was a "Sunny ZX":stupid: Did you know that the 432 nearly became the "160"? They were going to name it after its horsepower ( PferdeStarcke ) rating, until they decided to call the HLS30 and HS30 the "240", and then realised that it would make the "160" sound as though it was actually LESS powerful than the 240.......... Here's a pic of the prototype emblem:
PrOxLaMuS© Posted December 23, 2003 Share #7 Posted December 23, 2003 Looks like a Mustang blended with a B210 and B510 to make a wannbe Z.
jasonparuta Posted December 23, 2003 Share #8 Posted December 23, 2003 looks like an old modified SKYLINE...
Victor Laury Posted December 23, 2003 Share #9 Posted December 23, 2003 I may get some flack for this but... I always loved the 120Y/B210Having said that... Is this 140Z varient legit?an L-14 instead of the pushrod A-14?That "140Z" rear trim emblem looks real.I don't really doubt it, as Nissan has a long history of special, low production models. ZmeFly Posted December 23, 2003 Share #10 Posted December 23, 2003 I think it still looks nice.
Zedrally Posted December 23, 2003 Share #11 Posted December 23, 2003 Definate 120Y with a front spoiler.140Z, I seriously have my doubts. Nissan would have been advertising this in a big way otherwise.120Y's were an in-expensive coupe for people to buy over here, not many exist now.Another interesting model is the Datsun Sunny 1000. Several are still being rallied succesfully in their class!
Ben Posted December 24, 2003 Share #12 Posted December 24, 2003 Variants were otherwise known as the 140J or Datsun Cherry. The PB210 cas powered with the L14, and also the L16 (160J). It's models like these that make it easy to fit a L20B into a B210 shell, using P610 componentry.Yes it's a B210 coupe.
