Lightened flywheel

Hey landmizzle did you put the centerforce dual friction clutch in your Z? I have that in my 77 280 with a 460 Schneider racing cam. Talk about grab and go! I just wish I had the twisty mountain roads to try it out on.

With no moutains in sight here in Florida, I have to settle with being the first off the line to get to the next red light about 4 blocks up the road.

It's interesting to read posts that infer that lightened flywheels cause operational problems!!! Where do these roomers come from.....people who just don't know how to shift a manual transmission?

For people who are interested in installing a lighter flywheel..........do it, it's a win win situation and your going to love it!!! Better acceloration for sure and I my opinion much easier to take off in 1st gear and overall shifting up and down through the gears. I have a 13 1/2 lbs alum flywheel in my 240 (late model 5 spd w/3.90 R200). Would I go back to a heavy stock flywheel? I think not!!! But, that's just one man's opinion
