Since upgrading to 9.0 (I held out as long as I could because 8.0 is so much better, but they basically forced me finally) I no longer get notifications of replys to threads here. I know it is probably something really stupid, but I have checked all my 'Option' settings here and they are right/the same as always. I have gone through my AOL 'Preferences/settings' area and nothing jumps out at me. 9.0 has all kinds of 'wonderful' new spam filters and layers of 'protection' to keep the real world away from us. I can't help but think it is some of this filtering that is keeping notification out. I have set my 'security' level very low and even manually set classiczcars.com as a 'trusted' source. Can anyone clue me in? It's not the end of the world if I can't get it back, but it's kinda cool.

Steve,

Are you talking about the email notifications that are sent to you when someone replies to a message thread in our forum?

If so, it might not be a 'browser' problem but more of an email spam filter problem. I don't know anything about AOL, but, I do know that a lot of companies are trying to filter abusive email messages.

Check your spam filter settings and/or check your 'spam inbox' to see if our messages are in there. You might need to add 240z.org as well as classicZcars.com to your email security settings (ie: allow all messages).

OK, I think I may have found the problem. Yes, there is a folder for automatically deleted spam (never knew it was there!). I is FULL of messages from webmaster@classiczcars. I also found a list of 'troublesome' sources in my spam preferences folder and classiczcars.com made the list! Let's see if this works...

In your Spam folder you will find a button "This is not Spam". Hit that on addresses you want to get mail from. It will take a while for the computer to learn what you want, and what you don't. But, it is worth it. I have had AOL 9 for, well since it came out. I like it much better than 8, but that is personal preference.

I have 9.0 for quite awhile now and always got replys. Recently though I noticed they stopped. Aol must have done a update that changed that. I am glad you mentioned it. I will check the spam folder which I have never looked at before.

Ditto. Checked it out, that was my problem also!

I'm having the same problems..........I noticed 2 days ago AOL is putting all email notifications in my spam folder.

I ran AOL 7 for the longest time until they came out with AOL 9 with searchable E-mail. I save all my letters. so much easier to recall a saved e-mail now.
