Buying a 240z

Just begining my Z experience and am about to buy my first 240Z. Just wanted some advice about getting into the adventure. I don't know a whole lot about cars but would like to learn. Will I be in way over my head with a Z, or would this be a good starter project? Also, I've done a lot of research on the 240 so besides the obvious, rust, body, etc what should I look for with my first 240Z purchase. Any advice is welcomed.

Thanks for the help

other than the rust which u have mentioned , I would chose a 72 or older 240 dues to carbs, if you can get round top or domed carbs as opposed to flat top units, other than that , if you like the car buy it and enjoy the ride and save plenty in the bank for the things you will change :) , good luck

Hello,

I'm also want to get the Z experience, I once owned a 77 280Z, and never get tired of him, i find it very reliable, powerfull (not to mention it's natural beauty, excep for the ugly bumpers).

So here i am trying to be part of 240z history

So if any one knows a 240Z car is on sale near the south-west Texas, please let me know.
