Z Car new year resolutions

I'am hoping to either get my 260z repainted (bare metal) and put my l28-rebuilt with flat top pistons, bigger cam, 2" jag su's or webbers ported head- and redo the interior- put in my tokico shocks with lowered spring etc etc etc

or selling it as is and buying a 240z for big bucks that has already had a repaint and is pretty original..(Anyone got one??-email me!)

So what does everyone have planned for this year with their z cars?

I have had an intensive week on my car, in the last 4 days i have pulled out the interior, seats, dash, choke, aircon, heater and radiator. Today im going to head over once my head stops spinning from last night and remove any remaining HVAC ducts, wiring harness, and then start on the engine bay.

After spending 6 monthes stripping the underbody of my last Z by hand, this time around I hope to send my stripped shell to be put on a rotisserie and sandblasted by late january, hopefully straightened and painted by late february and then the fun begins with the new motor I am buying.

My Z new years resolution is to have a moving 260Z within the first 6 monthes of 2004, but it is a promise that will be tough to keep.

Yeah I wish I had a 240z to but im stuck with my 280zx but for a first car i think im doing just nicely any way for my new years resolution i wish to fix up my 2 280zx or combine them to make a real nice car but first i need to find a flat with a large garage. Well i hope each and ever Z will be nicely treated this year its a shame to see one busted on the side of the road or grass growing out of them. Best of years every body.

Lots of resolutions. Get more track time in, get the suspension finally sorted, fit the upcoming new hi-po engine, get bb turbo and 300 rwhp, fit a half cage to get rid of rear body flex, perfect heel 'n toe downchanges.......

But # one, enjoy the bloody car.:classic:

I will get my 240z back on the road this year!

I am mid way through a bit of a fix-up involving installing an L28 and gearbox from a 280zx, and adding a G-nose to boot.

After that will be some rear disks (once again courtesy of the 280zx) and possibly even some better front breaks. As well as an even louder stereo.

Here's to hoping.

hmmm...I havent driven my 260 in 3 years, and my resolution is to have it on the road before march.

Plans are as follows. Rebuilt L28E with flattops, 5spd manual, 64mm TB, Z31 MAF sensor, headwork, cam, 6-2-1 headers and 2.5inch exhaust, RB30 injectors and ECU, Fuel rail, 3.7 diff.

Still need to get the RB30 injectors and ECU and the pistons and cam.

And I can only work on it on the weekends as well !!!

I plan to replace the heater control assembly and A/C switch in my 78 280 before the summer. The plastic part that opens and closes the vent is broken and the switch doesn't always turn off the compressor. I have the necessary parts but just haven't got around to it yet. I also hope to finish the interior in the 810 coupe.
