Chrome ashtray

DJACEY(UK)

Recommended Posts

Chrome ashtray wanted for 1970 (Series 1) 240z i.e. the one that is located on the plastic panel that covers the fuse box. I have the panel and ashtray lid awaiting. Any condition considered. Will need to post to the UK - but this is fairly straight forward. I will pay for postage and packing of course. Thanks.

At this time it's $40US

That's an incredible price, and I would be surprised to see it go for that little.

The snipers will move in in the last 45 seconds and triple that price.

You were very correct, Mark. The ash tray sold for $128 without good chrome! Amazing.

Here is a link to an old ash tray discussion I wrote some time ago discussing the differences in early types. The Bakelite material is very difficult to glue and repair, but I have found that "superglue" does the trick and suggest a high viscosity glue to keep the glued joint clean.
