Front License Plate Mount

Is there supposed to be a factory bracket or mount for the front license plate? In Ohio, you're "required" to have both license plates mounted, but apparently, some people with expensive cars, think they're above thisrequirement.

So far, I used GOOP to glue a plastic bracket to the bumper off to the LH side, with some extra long plastic zip-ties for safety. The plate screws to the plastic bracket of course.

thx.

I must not be rich enough(understatement). The first cruise I took with my 240 after I rebuilt it was interrupted when I was stopped by the Colorado patrol for not having a front license plate. I actually didn't know one was required, thought the state was just being generous by giving me two plates. Victor.

LOL.....Here in Florida The plates are your Personal Plates. Personal Property of the owner unlike other states where the plates go with the car. We only have rear plates. I run an extra old 1970-1971 tag upfront. with a Really nice 1971 tag in the back.

Here in Florida in the 70's they gave you a new "Blue" tag each year. If your car is 30+ years you are able to buy one of those old tags and register it to your car. They are very good looking tags. I Paid $20 about 4 years ago at the local Fle-market. Had a good convo with the vender about old tags. The man Really knew his stuff.

In Colorado we also have collector car plates but you have to pay for them every year(I forget how much, but more than I was willing to pay). You just kind of rent them, I guess. My wife and kids and the Z have Pioneer plates(family has to have lived in CO more than 100 years to qualify) for their cars. Victor.
