Carb for 240K coupe

Almost. The manifold will bolt straight on (once you pry off the old one) - the only problems arise when it comes to accelerator and choke linkages. For the accelerator, you can mount the bracket on the firewall at a different angle (it seems as though the bracket and holes in the firewall were made with this in mind, as you dont have to fabricate or drill anything to change the position of hte bracket), and then it should fit fine. I had my choke fitted when the car was getting some other work done, you'll need a couple of cables and patience getting it hooked up on the inside of teh car, but it should be easy enough...

This is with dual round-tops, from a 240Z...

I dont claim to be a mechanic though, if anyone else disagrees or has something to add please do.

Shouldn't be a problem at all.

The 2000GT-X came with the same dual carb setup as the 240Z so theoretically it should essentially be a bolt-up job.

I'm personally going for FI though if I ever get around to it and am willing to not use the car for a few hours or days depending on my laziness.

A "240K" is the name for the export version of the C110 Skyline.

Japanese Domestic Models, were produced with a 4cyl G16 & G18 and 6cyl L20 & the GTR an S20 until 1975 when the C111 series was released which was essentially the same but all the engines were changed to the L-series L16, L18 etc. However, none of the JDM models were ever fitted with the L24 it was only export versions that were which were given the name 240K GT (GL was Australia only and was the exact same car with a different name to combat insurance prices.)

Damn you got a good bargain there Lachlan!

I do find the first inch depressed is a little sticky, a bit of WD40 around all the moveable linkage points helps heaps but I gather this must part of having SU's.

Mind you the pedal on my old 260Z didn't feel like that, although they were British SU's.
