1971 Original 240Z For Sale

After much deliberation I have decided to sell my 1971 240Z.

The car is pretty much original except for the 260 wheels and an immobiliser. It currently has a newly rebuild L26 engine in it but I do have the original engine (with matching numbers) that will be sold with the car. Early last year I installed new Tokico shocks (non-adjustable) and Hyperthane bushes all round.

The car is Datsun 'Gold' and has two very small rust holes at the bottom of the drivers door. I was recently quoted AU$400 to have them metal-filled. There is also a small bump in the bonnet where the previous owner closed it but left a socket on the rocker cover. Other than that the car is SOLID. Check out the photo's in my gallery.

I am looking for offers between AU$8,000 and AU$10,000.

My reason for selling is that now I have my own business I need a vehicle more suited to sales calls and deliveries. I really don't want to sell but needs must prevail.

As for deleveries, Get a Datsun 1200 ute, or even a Datsun 1600 wagon.

That's a very beautiful car. I agree, what person wouldn't be impressed if you pulled up in that Z for a sales call. I would be more apt to buy from someone driving that nice Z that a guy in an over priced caddy or something.

Here's the trick........get the prospective customer outside to see your nice car, talk about the Z for awhile, then start your sales pitch on what ever your selling, and boom.......the deal is closed!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Yes there certainly is a lot of interest in the car when I pull up on a sales call, especially the ones I make to the automotive type businesses. Unfortunately, its very hard to cart large boxes of printed t-shirts etc. around in her so she's got to go.

I still have the 260 project car so I won't be z'less altogether, just have to find the time to work on it that's all.

Thanks again to those that expressed an interest. The car has now been sold. I am very sad to see it go but needs must prevail.

To the purchaser, who is a member of this club, you have a great car there enjoy it and look after it.

I still have the project car and I am looking forward to getting into that again some time soon.
