Posted January 8, 200421 yr comment_63346 Do you know if these louvers are from a Z car? I've been told they look like they came off of a Z car, but I don't know. I thoght they were for a Mustang f Fastback, but there too long. I have a 1970 Mustang Mach 1 and they are about 8 inches too long for the back window. January 8, 200421 yr comment_63348 At first glance, those are not factory. :disappoin Allthough, I'm not sure, but I will research it. I had a couple of Z cars with them, and they had pull pins (fingertip type), to completely remove them from the car(mounted at the basic 4 corners, but inset). I could be wrong, yet those look like they are for Toyota's. Of course there is the off chance that both cars were from the same area, that they had the same aftermarket brands installed.:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/9630-do-you-know/#findComment-63348 Share on other sites
January 8, 200421 yr comment_63350 Hey you know what? If you click on Bambikiller240"s gallery, I believe his are stock pullpin type. It's not the first row of pics, but the second. Oh and there is this DEFINATE DISRACTION PHOTO next to it! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/9630-do-you-know/#findComment-63350 Share on other sites
January 8, 200421 yr Author comment_63352 They look the same, but on Bambikiller240's, it only has 7 fins, where as on mine has 8 fins. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/9630-do-you-know/#findComment-63352 Share on other sites
January 8, 200421 yr comment_63353 I think he had it right the first guess.... looks a lot like the louvers seen on the early Supra's.... most of the Z louvers were shorter, or closer to the window. The ones on my car do have a funky "pull-pin" kind of latch at the bottom two corners. January 9, 200421 yr comment_63368 I wonder if there is a "factory image"/option list that would show? Yours do not have the pins up top?:classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/9630-do-you-know/#findComment-63368 Share on other sites

Yours do not have the pins up top?:classic: No pins up top, just hinges.FWIW, ther were no options available on 240Z's from the factory to my knowledge. True you could get a car with either an Auto or Manual trans, but everthing else was standard from Nissan. Dealers added stuff to the car as "Factory Authorized" options, but they were sourced in the US from aftermarket manufacturers. Wheels, Stripe kits, A/C, Sun Roofs, and Louvers, etc. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/9630-do-you-know/#findComment-63371 Share on other sites
January 9, 200421 yr comment_63378 That makes sense. Perhaps what I'm remembering, is a hinge up top, as a matter of fact, thats right! (brain fart)I used to clean the back glass and would lay the lovours(or how ever it's spelled), on the roof top:classic: : Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/9630-do-you-know/#findComment-63378 Share on other sites
