Posted January 9, 200421 yr comment_63533 I have located a 83 2+2 Turbo car at a salvage yard. It has a 5 speed and appears to be unmolested. I want to use the 83 as a donor car to build a turbo engine for my 78 but have discovered that it's head is a P90A. I believe the head is a hydraulic lifter head and I will be using a solid lifter cam. Can the P90A head be modified for solid lifters? If not, are P90, solid liter heads readily available and reasonably priced? I need to make a quick decision weather to purchase the 83 or look for another. I can buy this car for $300. Thanks for your input....mayolives Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/9657-p90a-head/ Share on other sites
January 10, 200421 yr comment_63570 If you can buy the complete car for $300. it seems like a no brainer to me , that is if you have a place to work on it. The block core alone is worth $200. . There is a member of the club phred , he builds these engines for a living and does wonders with the heads . Find him in the members list and send him a email about the heads. I see you live in SC , prices of cars and parts vary greatly when you are dealing in used , but the car sounds like a vary good buy to me. go to geocities.com/row4navy/head2.html :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/9657-p90a-head/#findComment-63570 Share on other sites
