Hi ..I am interested in this car but am wary of flares on fenders. Why are they flared? Were they rusty?

The previous owner put the flares on. They didn't put them on because of rust though.

I think they look good .. I wonder if they take away from the value? Anyone with any input?

Thanks Patrick I need to ask you how you know it wasnt because of rust?

I don't believe it was because of rust because when I got the car I checked the fender area and didn't see any rust... I suppose it may have been because of rust but I think the guy just liked the flares.
