Fellas,

Anyone out there painted the centres only on these type of wheels. I'm contemplating getting mine done in a gun metal grey while retaining the alloy/chrome look on the 'lip' of the wheels.

I think this might look quite good :smoke:

Any experiences/feedback appreciated, thanks guys.

I restored and polished set of six spokes for my car using Dupli-Color High Performance Wheel Coating "HWP 102 Graphite" Albeit, I didn't completely paint the spokes.

I also used this paint along with clear flat to match the original factory anthracite (argent) color of the front grill and rear panel on my 72.

I have a set of 6-spokes that I polished up similar to DastunZGuy's set. The "star" pattern is highly polished w/ the inlays painted Nissan Silver (touch-up paint), and the outer rim is somewhat duller polished (not as mirror-like as the star). It still keeps the overall look of the wheel bright, w/o being too overly chrome looking. But still shows some distinction between the different areas of the wheel.

I don't have a close up of the wheels, but here is a picture of them on the car in good light.

Thanks for the feedback fellas.

Michael (kyteler) don't know what computer program you have that enables you to do that magic, but well done. Any chance of finishing that wheel off with some clear coat??!! :classic:

I'm a little undecided what route to take with my almost sprayed 240K/C110 coupe. It's a gold colour and I'm not so sure the complete all alloy wheel is the look I'm after.

If anything I'm probably leaning towards painting the centres, kytelers pic didn't look too bad.

If anyone else has more pics/feedback would be much appreciated.

James,

I've attched a new picture, perhaps it is more to your liking.

The magic that allows me to do such things as this is, being an unemployed nerd LOL an unemployed artsie nerd :beard: too much time on my hands and a copy of Adobe Photoshop.

Michael that is absolutely 100% spot on!!!

Mate that is excellent, my Aussie idea was realised by my NZ friend; gotta love this global neighbourhood we live in!

Seriously that is really, really good, I'm very impressed.

Exactly the look I'm after, thanks heaps.

Fellas, Michael is the man! If I can't get Watanabes then this look will do that's for sure...

Once again thanks a heap.
