I am now Z less

For f%&*@s sake!

I'm very sorry to hear this Victor.

I've been in that situation - knowing that the car was probably only a few minutes away - and the frustration with wanting the police to get ON THE CASE straight away was terrible.

However, there is always the chance - as others have said - that it may have been a "joyrider" or somebody looking for a ride home. An 'opportunist' theft like this is rarely pre-planned, and there is still hope that it will turn up intact.

I'll keep my eyes peeled and ears open ( all the way over here in London ) just in case it turns up as an involuntary export...

I wish you the very best of luck, Victor.

Alan T.

Dude that reallly sucks. It seems like one of our Zs gets stolen once every three months or so. Is there any particular reason these suckers are so easy to steal??? Or is it talented people doing the stealing? I'm definitely going to be looking for some security systems before my Z hits the roads again. Hope good news gets to ya soon Vic

I hope the only took it like some of the members say for a one way ride. The other day (week) you passed me your nunber Victor. I don't Have it any where near me right now. But you said if you could be of any help to ring you up. So let me offer up my help. I'll PM you with my number so you can leave me a voice mail with your number. Post your VIN # here on the Club site for all the SoCal members to note. I always see almost every Zed that I come across. If I come across any that even remind me of your's i'll freaken stop and look. Also Posting your VIN might make anyone that might have looked in on the site, think about not keeping the car long. Avoiding further damage. And I am not saying that it could have been a member, only taking every step reasonable. Keep your hopes up Victor, Datsuns are easy to steal. Making them quick rides home. F@%&ed up!!!. :finger:

Geez Victor. I see this kind of thing quite often, but never dealing with a Z. I am sorry that you are having to go through this. If it makes you feel better, the VIN will be entered into a national computer database (NCIC). Whenever the VIN or the tag is run it will show stolen. That works for any parts off the car that have the VIN attached. So, even if they stole it to go into a different state they can still be found. I just hope it is found in one piece with no major damage. Good Luck!

M*&%$# F#@%*(@ ers. That is awful. I know LA is a big city, but maybe if you cruise around the area where it was taken from you just might find it. Some a-holes are brazen enough to drive around in public after taking such a beautiful car.

To bad we can't put some kind of "Amber Alert" out for it.

Bring a loaded gun with you on your search. I know I would be tempted to shoot those bastards.

I hope you find your beloved Z:(

Death to all who steal another man's Z:devious:

Thank you all again. Still no word. The license plates are 901GFC, Califonia blue plates. They were restored by Mojo Art Works, so they looked like they were stamped in Folsom last week.

If it stays gone, do I stick around and be the roadster guy in the Z universe?

Dude! Where's my car!

Vic

If (God forbid) your Z is not returned, get another one. You live in the Z world, so I'm sure many would be happy to assist in finding you a Z. I know if I had an extra Z, I would gladly give it to you, that's how bad I feel.
