Lo-Jack is a tracking system that is placed in your car. When the vehicle is stolen the local police (If they are equiped) can track the movement of the car.

I am of good spirits and in the company of good friends. I told my Coworkers today that I have received condolences from the entire globe and they look at me, thinking that I must have succumbed to the stress.

I'd like to be able to tell you all that I am a smart man, but, I cannot. I had no theft insurance on my car. Living in Los Angeles, even Hagerty doesn't like to write policies in my corner of the hood. Plus that, I am a notoriously cheap bastard, and highly sceptical that insurance companies actualy pay.

In hindsight, Z-less, my pratices look pretty foolish. I spent today, following up with the police, cancelling my cell phone (don't want to pay for the theives to call their girlfriends) and closing my bank account, to protect the checkbook that was in my briefcase. Other than the Z, I'll miss my CD's most. From Arrowsmith to Vivaldi, from indian folk to Buddy Guy, My music was me.

I quess I'll replace the Z within the next year. What else would I do, with all those Z parts and the new dash still sitting on the living room couch! Meanwhile, I've been making arrangements with a list memeber over the last month, and this Saturday, I'm picking up my newest classic Datsun, a 71 521 Pickup.

Untill then my roadster with a full race suspension is my daily driver. I'd better get something else soon, as I don't think my kidneys can handle the jostling!

you can choose 10 cd's from me to burn. I can atleast replace some of your music. I hope its okay that everything on this list is live and anything on dat were concerts I have personally recorded.

Oh, and I do have a sweet buddy guy from last year. John mayer came out and closed the show with a 30 minute mustang sally where buddy handed his guitar to John while buddy signed autographs in the crowd,. Its fun being part of a concert promotional team.

Don't give up Victor, we are all hoping that it comes back to you. But, I can see how you feel with little hope of seeing your baby coming back. Your car and the color of your car is very unique and there are a lot of us who will be looking out for your car even if they did not respond to this forum(all over the globe). So, hopefully it will be spotted or found, but don't give up hope. I don't think many people would steal a Z to take to a chop shop and if they sell the car as is, someone is bound to spot it. I hope I am not giving off false hope, just cheering you on.

Sean: Here's a LINK to the Lo-Jack website. I don't believe that it is available in Europe. Well, I'm sure you could buy it, but the Authorities have to have the equipment to actually "track" the signal from the Lo-Jack unit in the car to be able to find the car.

I can't imagine getting a car stolen. To be honest, it's one of the reasons I'm glad I don't live in California any more.

I also want to extend my sympathy. I would be devastated if it happened to my car. I have gotten attached to it after 25 years

and lots of money invested. Because of that i have it fully covered incl theft. Luckily not at California prices. I am really sorry you were not covered for theft. Mine is covered for $15,000. I have even more than that into it. The condition yours is in will be hard to replace reasonably with another. We hope it comes back like a runaway pet.

Sorry on your loss, that really bites! I'll keep an eye out up here in San Fran. Don't give up hope! Go cruise the docks, and auto body shops (the dark dingy ones), act like a customer and check 'em out.

Yes go see if they have tapes of it happening that could make the police take more notice, also check around and body shops and things for z comming in for paint etc.
