I am now Z less

Thanks again for the advice/crying towel. The last two days I've aimlessly taken drives down backstreets and auto shop rows lookingfor a familiar shape or a flash of green. No dice. I check the scene of the crime and there are no security cams. I've posted notice at my favorite Car wash, because they love me and my cars and their central location. They were SHOCKED and promised to be on alert. My Coworkers have given me support by keeping their eyes peeled on the way to and from work.

I've been offered another Z, 72, low miles, single owner, liftime garage kept for a stunningly low price. I'm not sure if I should as I'm worried they will find my z and I'll have towing/impound/other unforseen costs.

The Auto Club (insurer) had me file a claim, even though I didn't have comprehensive, to protect from liability from the theives actions.

My roadster looks mighty lonely in the car port! I'm still going to pick up the 521 pickup this Saturday, so it will have company soon.

There's a 81 ZX fatlady on the Craigslist sight for $500.00! another option, a car no one would want to steal!LOL

Really sorry about this Victor. Gets me so fired up I think I'll go buy a pinata, break out the baseball bat, and pretend the pinata is the car thief! Speaking of buying, if that 72 240 is a great deal, maybe you should buy it and then sell it for a profit if your own Z shows up. That way you're covered. Good luck, Victor.

My bank just called and reported to the police, that a guy came in with one of my lost checks and tried to cash it with phoney ID. He ran out when the bank was reporting him. They got him on film! He was trying to cash a check for $176.00 for plumbing services. He was driving an old white Buick but they didn't get his license #. If they catch him.. maybe it will lead to my car.

I hope he's already got a police record or their gonna have a tough time ID'ing the SOB......

It's kinda odd, I was watching a show on the Discovery Channel the other night all about the LA County Jail... I was sitting here thinking whoever took your car should have been one of the stars of the show....:devious:

GREAT! A lead is a lead. If the A-Hole was stupid enough to try to cash one check, he's probably stupid enough to try again. If they don't ID him from this attempt, prehaps they will next time.

Keep the Faith Victor. She's not gone for good just yet!!!!

Excellent!!!

Hopefully this will just make it a matter of time until the Z is found, I've been keeping the hope alive in my house in little old NZ by putting your car as my background, I know, it sounds kinda silly and the likelihood of it achieving anything is nil but it's all I can do. :)

are there to protect the money. The stupid piece of S$%t diddn't get any. At least this will put more pressure on the powers that be. Now he's messing with the Feds game. (Banks are insured by the Fed.) I still haven't come across any early Zed like yours Victor. Hopefully that means they ditched the car. And some stupid PG impound has it. I hope if this is the case they contact you soon. :devious:
