Victor:

Good News!

Be sure to annotate and account for everything you require to bring her back to the state she was in. If they ever catch the crook and convict him, WHETHER OR NOT he serves time for the crime, SUE him for the amount of the repairs.

The OJ trial showed us two ways of skinning a rat.

Thank you all! For support from the beginning to today, ten days later.

I drove her to the gas station, as the crooks ran her down to fumes. The key switch is healthy again, AND THE CLUB IS IN PLACE WHERE IT WILL BE USED FROM NOW ON!! Tomorrow I will be adding some type of imoblizer, I'll search the forums for the best idea.

I've decide not to refit the stereo until after I replace the dash, as per my original plan before it was stolen.

Monday, I'll up the insurance.

OH Chloe! get ready for an order!

ROFLLOL

That is GREAT news Victor,

I imagine everyone has had their fingers crossed for you, I know I have.

It is a shame though, that your car wasn't spotted by a member and followed to the thief's house cos then you'd know who's arse to kick.

Shame about the damage but, it could have been worse.

Rick.

This is great to hear, Victor!

I am a bit surprised that you had to pay any amount to get your own property back, however. When my Houston, TX, apartment was broken into and my stereo stolen, I did not have to pay the pawn shops anything to retrieve my equipment when the HPD found it (through the serial numbers) a year later. But still, that was a small price to pay for getting your beautiful z back!

When my Z was found after being stolen in 2002, Allstate reimbursed me for the towing and impound charges. That was in my comprehinsive but you have to look for it and make sure that that is in that part of the policy. My Mustang was stolen many years ago and the towing and impound wasn't covered by the company I had back then. All that being said, I was just happy to have her back! I would have paid if I had to. Just something to look for when you up you coverage.
