I know there are many walks of life that are here in the Z world and well Im hoping one of you are a doctor or are in the medical profession and can help me with something that a very close freind may possibly have.

It is believed to be Septicemia. I have read the description from the medical encyclopedia and this seems to be some serious shyte from what I have read/.

What Im asking if any of you are in this profession and know is how fast does this disease work and how fast does it become irreversible and or to the point of positive death.

here is the link.

Septicemia

I greatly appreciate any help with this, words cant tell you how important this is to me.

Sorry to hear about this. I read several links that Google turned up and it looks like the outcome likely depends on how soon it was discovered and treated. The scary part appears to be if it progresses to septic shock. However, it also looks like treatment with enough antibiotics soon enough can prevent it from getting that far. Obviously this person is already being treated at a hospital so there's not much more to be done. I'd keep reading stuff on the internet and hope that it was caught in time. Good luck ...

Whoa!!! This doesn't make sense. Who diagnosed it? Unless it was a doctor then they're just guessing. If it was a doctor but not at an ER I would assume that the doctor would arrange transportation immediately to the nearest ICU.

I can't imagine anyone being afraid of getting treatment for something that's potentially life threatening. In this case, the treatment may not actually be all that difficult or expensive but getting treatment is critical. It sounds like you might need some help trying to get them to listen.

well everything turned out great, it wasnt as bad as it was thought to be and there was still a very bad blood infection.

Good news of it was all it took was a day in the hospital under intravenous antibiotics and a weeks treatment by mouth.

:D

Thanks for all of your concern everyone
