Air Cleaner Orange?

110 Red is one of those colours that looks different depending on the amount of sunlight, I had a 110 Red car a few years back, I took pictures of it in direct sunlight and then about two hours later took pictures of it in partial shade, when I got the pictures back it looked like I had taken snaps of two completely different cars.

110 is one of those colours that is border line between red and orange, of all the people to see my car I would say there opinions were about a 50/50 split between the two colours.

I have also had problems painting my current car which is 905 Red, the paint supplier had no less than three 905 Reds listed (has anyone alse experienced this problem) with the earliest shade being listed as a 1971 colour, this was the one applied to the car but it was a bit lighter than I expected, still looks great though.

Thanks Steve,

and yeah, it looks more like your car's color normally, but yeah, the pictures always kinda look different. I'll take a picture of the inner fender / air filter housing next to each and post soon.

Later all, have a good day,

Dog

I also see this with my 72 240Z that's Lime Green. In the bright sunshine it's eye blinding fluorescent yellow, but in overcast weather or dim lighting it's bile green. I always hope for sunny days with that car as the bile green is just awful.

Just bought an air cleaner for my early 260z what I thougth was primer turned out to be Blue grey paint similar to the the later air cleaners. Also does anyone now where new gaskets can be found? :ermm:

Found them at Nismo. :stupid: But seriously, this air cleaner is blue/grey like the 77 air cleaner. Puzzled even confused by it now!
